The Taste of Harvest – Tanzania Fine Coffee Competition 2025/26 officially opened on 17 November 2025 at City Coffee Ltd in Mbeya, bringing together national judges, producers, and industry experts. The event runs until 29 November, with top Arabica and Robusta coffees being evaluated under the AFCA and SCA cupping standards.

Organized by the African Fine Coffees Association (AFCA) and the Tanzania Coffee Board (TCB), the competition gives farmers and cooperatives across Tanzania the chance to showcase their best coffees. Winning lots may be featured on the AFCA Taste of Harvest Online Auction Platform, opening access to international buyers and premium market opportunities.

Hosting the event in Mbeya highlights the region’s growing importance in specialty coffee, as Tanzania continues working to improve quality, production capacity, and global recognition. Recent achievements, including national awards in regional AFCA competitions, show strong progress for the country’s coffee sector.
